 Oskar Schindler\, industriel dont l’usine est proche de Cracovie\, entre
 tient des relations intéressées avec Amon Göth\, commandant du camp de 
 travaux forcés (lequel deviendra camp de concentration) de Plaszow en Pol
 ogne. Pour deux raisons : trouver de la main d’oeuvre à bon compte pour
  travailler dans ses entreprises (des juifs du camp)\, mais aussi\, il en 
 est certain\, leur épargner une mort quasi inévitable. Amon Göth s’é
 prend de la secrétaire de Schindler\, Irène Kalder\, qui devient sa maî
 tresse. Puis sa femme.\n\nEn 1980\, dans le cadre d’un documentaire sur 
 le « héros » Oskar Schindler\, la veuve de Göth se confia à un journa
 liste américain ancien combattant et à son cameraman d’origine juive.\
 nRendu célèbre par le film de Spielberg « La liste de Schindler »\, G
 öth\, responsable de la mort de milliers de prisonniers\, dirige le camp 
 avec une grande brutalité. En outre\, il s’enrichit de leurs biens pour
  son propre compte au-delà de l’imaginable.\n\nEn écrivant Majola\, co
 mme l’appelait Göth\, l’autrice\, Caroline Darnay\, a cherché\, apr
 ès une minutieuse enquête\, à montrer les différents visages de celle 
 qui affirmera jusqu’à sa mort n’avoir jamais eu connaissance des acti
 vités de son mari et refusera jusqu’au bout de le voir comme un monstre
